We spent one day in Aix-en-Provence, it was a day trip after our stay at Domaine Monte Verdi. I have to admit, very uncharacteristically for us, we stopped for the shopping.
Two shops in particular brought us here, Caravane for the chic interiors, and Scotch&Soda because Captain is a slim build 6ft4" and their dutch design nails this. Where there are two good shops shall there be more? The central old town was bursting with lovely little boutiques.
Lunch was at this little eatery Maison Nosh. Simples.
We stumbled across this sweet, small square ‘Place Richelme’ with a local food market, a treat in itself. Then tucked in the corner we discovered a treat we couldn’t resist, Weibel.
Weibel have been perfecting the art of the french pâtisserie since 1954.
Look at those cakes! How, why, should, could… anyone say no.
We ended the day alfresco, sat in the warm provencal night with a beer and bowl of pasta. Short but sweet.
